jennifer barone

A yoga practitioner since 1998, Jennifer received extensive training in her hometown of New York City where high-stress environments and an introduction to meditation lead her to a committed yoga practice. Although she would attend a gym frequently, routine circuit-training did not hold her attention. Yoga, which incorporated body, mind and spirit brought her increased health, happiness and the means to re-establish balance in her life.

Since her relocation to San Francisco, she has studied with some of the yoga communities most recognizable names and honed her personal teaching style. Jennifer has been an instructor since 2002 and finds sheer joy in sharing her practice and inspiring others to awaken their fullest potential. She specializes in an intuitive, flowing Vinyasa sequence from beginner to advanced level, with a strong concentration on connecting breath to movement. She is known to experiment by incorporating techniques from her training in various backgrounds such as Kundalini and Tai Chi, constructing her class for the benefit of the practitioner. Her teaching philosophy is inspired by her daily life and personal practice.

In addition to flowing Vinyasa sequencing, Jennifer enjoys teaching Restorative Yoga—stemming from the Iyengar tradition, utilizing a multitude of props to assist deep relaxation, allowing the practitioner an opportunity to fall effortlessly into a meditative state.
